              A meeting of the members of All India Central Excise Inspector’s Association, Rajkot Branch is being convened on 01.09.2013 Sunday at the below mentioned address at 10:00 AM :-

              Shri Ajit Kumar K.G., Secretary General along with President A.Satish and other All India Office Bearers will take the above meeting. The meeting will be followed by lunch. Meeting of AICEIA Rajkot Branch

The Office Bearers of All India Body of the Inspectors’ Association will be on tour of Gujarat during the first week of September, 2013.

A meeting of All India Central Excise Inspectors’ Association Rajkot Branch representing Inspectors of Central Excise Rajkot & Bhavnagar Commissionerates and Customs Jamnagar Commissionerate is organized on Sunday 01.09.2013 at 10:00 AM at Room No. 401, Central Excise Bhavan, Race Course Ring Road, Rajkot.

Shri Ajit K.G., Secretary General along with the President and other All India Office Bearers will take the above meeting. The meeting will be followed by lunch. All the members of the Association i.e. Inspectors of Central Excise Rajkot & Bhavnagar Commissionerates and Customs Jamnagar Commissionerate are requested to attend the meeting and make it grand success.

Members are also requested to confirm their attendance well in advance to Shri Piyush Thakar (Mob. 99989 61945) or Shri D.J. Pandya (Mob. 94282 31609) or Shri Nishant Bhatt (Mob. 98242 33005) so as to make necessary arrangements for lunch.

All India Central Executive Committee Meeting at Shimla

The All India Central Executive Committee Meeting was held on 27^th and 28^th July, 2013 at Shimla, the most beautiful place of Himachal Pradesh, in a pleasant atmosphere. Shri Rajkumar Verka, Vice Chairman of National Commission for Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe inaugurated the function. During his speech, Shri Verka has assured to extend his whole-hearted support to the genuine causes raised by the Association.

Special thanks to Shri Bhagwan Singhji and Shri R. C. Sharmaji and their team members of Chandigarh Circle for the splendid arrangements done by them. 

Regarding Cadre Restructuring

Massive tragedy in Uttarakhand - An appeal.

Dear members,

As we all know, the horrible flood tragedy of Uttarakhand has tolled thousands of lives and thousands of people are still trying to survive against this natural calamity.

It is our duty to help these victimized people on this tragic moment as we have ever been doing in the past.

Considering the situation, it is my earnest appeal to you that we all should contribute at least our one day salary for this cause.

Suggestions in the matter are also invited.

Letter to the Commissioner, C.Ex., Rajkot / Bhavnagar reg. AGT-2013

Sub: Annual General Transfer/ Rotation-2013. M/R.

            Sir, during the AGT-2010, 2011 & 2012 some Superintendents and Inspectors of Rajkot Commissionerate were posted to Bhavnagar Commissionerate as per the existing transfer policy to fill the deficiency of both Superintendents and Inspectors. These officers are to be repatriated back to their parent Commissionerate i.e. Central Excise Rajkot Commissionerate.

            In this connection, your kind attention is invited to the Transfer Policy for Rajkot Sector framed by the Hon’ble Chief Commissioner, Central Excise, Ahmedabad vide his office letter F.No. II/3-11/CCO/2002 Pt.-I dated 13.05.2009 wherein the posting of officers to Central Excise Bhavnagar Commissionerate is elaborated at para (4) which reproduced below for ready reference :

(1)               In case of deficiency/vacancy in the number of officer in Bhavnagar Commissionerate, subject to administrative exigencies, the officers shall be posted in the following manner.

(i)                 the officers who are willing to work in Bhavnagar Commissionerate may be given priority;

(ii)              newly recruited officers shall be posted at Bhavnagar  Commissionerate;

(iii)            Officers posted from Ahmedabad Sector may be posted to Bhavnagar Commissionerate;

(iv)             If there is shortage of officers, even after above exercise, then newly promoted officers may be posted and, if still required, senior most officers in terms of tenure in Rajkot Commissionerate may be posted to Bhavnagar Commissionerate.

(v)                Except on administrative exigencies, tenure of officer posted to Bhavnagar from Ahmedabad Sector as well as Rajkot Central Excise will normally be same.

The officers of Rajkot Commissionerate who were posted to Bhavnagar Commissionerate to fill deficiency have submitted their representations for their transfer to their parent Commissionerate i.e. Central Excise Rajkot Commissionerate as per the transfer policy. These officers may be transferred to their parent Commissionerate as per the para 4 of the existing transfer policy. 

Association would be greatly indebted to your Honour if the above concerns are looked in to favorably.
