Sub : Estt. Order No. 42/2014 dated 8th
August, 2014 issued by the Additional Commissioner (CCO), Central Excise,
Ahmedabad : Matter regarding.
Kindly
refer to the Estt. Order No. 42/2014 dated 8th August, 2014 issued
by the Additional Commissioner (CCO), Central Excise, Ahmedabad 5 Inspectors
have been transferred from Customs, Gujarat Zone, Ahmedabad to Central Excise
and against them 5 Inspectors have been posted to the Customs, Gujarat Zone,
Ahmedabad.
This Association
welcomes the step taken by the administration for considering the genuine
requests of the Inspectors of Ahmedabad Sector by repatriating them to Central
Excise zone. However, it is to submit that a few requests of the Inspectors of
Rajkot Commissionerate are pending with the authority for transfer from Customs
to Central Excise. These requests are also genuine and merits consideration.
One of the Inspectors namely Shri Ketan Dave has sought the transfer to Rajkot
Commissionerate on the ground that his daughter is studying in Standard 12. The
issue was also discussed in the meeting held on 3rd July, 2014 with
the Committee headed by the Chief Commissioner and also with the Additional
Commissioner (CCO), Customs / Central Excise during our visit on 16th
July, 2014. However, the genuine cases of Inspectors of Rajkot Commissionerate
are yet left un-attended.
In light of the above,
it is once again requested to kindly consider the genuine cases of Inspectors
of Rajkot Sector for transfer to Central Excise.
