Subject: Symbolic agitation program- instruction received from All India Body - intimation regarding .

With due respect, the Association submits that we have received a detailed program (copy enclosed), according to which our all staff members will put a black badge during working hours, will assemble during lunch hours at the headquarters. In addition to this, some members of the association will also observe relay fast from 10:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs on 03.06.11 and on all working days thereafter.

Dear friends,

good afternoon.

I came to know by Gujarat Associations about the unnecessary change being made in the transfer policy of Gujarat Zone by the administration and am deeply concerned to know the reluctant attitude of the administration towards genuine grievances of staffside. It is gathered (in details) from various office bearers from the Gujarat that most of the valuable suggestions given by them for smooth implementation of existing policy were intelligently turned down by the administration. It is grievously hurting to notice that at the name of improving the efficiency of the officers the administration, as a matter of fact, intends to displace the major chunk of the officers and causing the apprehension amongst all concerned officers about facing undue hardship arising out of unforeseen and unwanted transfers to distant places. The All India Body is committed to protect the interest of the staff members and we are very seriously and actively pursuing the matter with the concerned authorities of the Board as well as Gujarat administration.

Information from all corners of Gujarat are pouring in that despite repeated requests by the office bearers of the Associations, administration is bent upon adopting autocratic mode of transferring the staff members against their will and the most importantly without any genuine need of the hour. Our all India Body condemns such move of the administration and wishes to pass a message (to the administration) that entire Association is with every member of Gujarat.

In view of the exceptionally grim situation as elaborated above and consultation had with the office bearers of the Zone, I request all the members of Gujarat (through unit heads) to boldly and fearlessly undertake following course of agitation programme to express their resentment and also to show their solidarity-

On 03.06.2011 (Friday) and onwards all the staff members will wear black badges and in lunch hour gather at headquarters office and raise the voice against the repressive attitude of the department and relay fast by staff members (minimum five staff members who will put one days C.L) from 10:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs daily on working days.

If administration fails to deliver justice, further programmes of indefinite fast/strike may be chalked out.
