As
posted on the blog dated 5th June, 2014, a meeting was held today
with the committee of Executive Commissioners to decide whether to go ahead
with the AGT-2014 or to wait for implementation of the Cadre Restructuring.
On
behalf of Rajkot Sector, Superintendents Association as well as the undersigned
emphasized for immediate ordering of the AGT on the ground that the officers
who are due for repatriation from Customs
as well as Bhavnagar Central Excise Commissionerate are eagerly waiting
for AGT orders. Moreover, the academic year has already begun and the officers
who are due for transfer have sought admission of their children in various
schools and have shifted their families in anticipation of the AGT-2014. It has
already been delayed and till date, no one can predict when the Cadre Review
would be implemented. Under these uncertainities, it is not at all desirable to
postpone the AGT. Accordingly, we have submitted our written submission to the Committee
and requested to issue the minutes of the meeting. The Committee accepted the
requested and assured that the minutes would be issued.
