  1. First think about AGT than AGM because as per our knowledge tomorrow meeting has been fixed by the Chief Commissioner for AGT. If meeting will not success than new body have to face many problems so you are requested to arrange AGM after completion of AGT only.

  3. Dear members,

Before jumping to any conclusion, keep it in mind that AGM is not being conducted at the discretion of the Office-Bearers of Rajkot Branch, but, it is being conducted as per the directions of Shri Ajit Kumar K.G., Hon'ble Secretary General, AICEIA ( please refer to his letter dated 17.05.2014 on the Blog). The Branch and its functioning are necessarily to be guided by the Constitution of AICEIA & directives of its National Office-Bearers.

Regarding the hue & cry about the capabilities of the new Office-Bearers, it can be said that whoever shall be elected, will definitely be in a position to handle the problems with the aid and advice of the members. Moreover, changes are necessary to make the Organization contemporary and the same should be given due respect.

    M S Gandive

  4. I would like to re-iterate the view shown in the blog of the Hon'ble Secretary General, AICEIA vide his letter-dated 17.05.2014 (May see on his blog), where he has mentioned as given below:-

"WHEREVER ELECTIONS ARE DUE, PLEASE GET THEM HELD IMMEDIATELY. OR ELSE, AT LEAST GET A GENERAL BODY MEETING HELD AND APPROPRIATE DECISION IN THIS REGARD BE TAKEN AND COMMUNICATED IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER TO THE ALL INDIA BODY."

It is beyond understanding as to why some members are showing their mis-apprehensions over the AGM issue. Why an attempt is being made to connect/relate AGT with AGM? Both are distinct phenomena and the difference is very much clear, one is administrative and the other relates to members of the Association.

    Thanks,
    Gopal Jha

  5. Respected members,

It is not clear why the senior members of the Association are so apprehensive about the new comers. This shows that we are not being considered as part of family and time and again, attempt is made to control us by hook or by crook and this kind of conspiratory acts make us rebellious. It is, therefore, requested not to play any game over the AGM and smooth transformation should be ensured.

    Sincerely,
    Amit Kumar

  6. It is not clear why attempt is being made to somehow postpone AGM and to prevent the relatively new members from assuming responsibilities in the Association. When we have accepted the leadership of seniors for so long, what prevents them from welcoming us in the new body of Office-Bearers, certainly the "vested interests" and nothing else. If DR's are continued to be given step-motherly treatment as usual, then, we will have to think twice over continuing as members in this kind of partial environment.

  7. I don't know why members are taking it as personal. And this is not the issue of Juniors and Seniors. But the situation particularly for Rajkot Zone is totally different compared to other Zone. Everyone is well aware that, during AGT Officers of this zone are transferred from Rajkot to Bhavangar, Customs Commissionerate's i.e. Jamnagar, Ahmedabad and also Kandla. And our Association is for the officers of Rajkot-Jamnagar and Bhavnagar only and not Kandla or Ahmedabad. Also all are aware that, many of the new officers have recently joined our Department at Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar and they have also not enrolled as member of the Association. Looking to the present situation it would be a wise decision that let first AGT which is an important and prior issue be done at the earliest as large numbers of officers are being shuffled between Rajkot-Jamnagar-Bhavnagar and Kandla and it is already high time for it looking to the Children Education problem. Hence it is advisable to have AGM after AGT

  8. No one is taking it personal but definitely,it seems that some people are taking it damn personal and have lost their temper & patience and without going through the Constitution of AICEIA passing irrelevant comments. It is easy to offer comment on transfer & posting but certainly, it is a well known fact that almost 90% of the staff remains within the jurisdiction of this Branch and it is to be noted that the Office-Bearers may be elected from among the members present at the time of AGM as transfer to SEZ and other deputation postings are a continuous phenomenon in Rajkot Sector, so the presence of all the members at any point of time cannot be ensured.

So far as new recruits are concerned, it is to be noted that the concern shown seems to be flimsy one as they are under probation period and will not in a position to actively participate in the activities of the Association till their probation period gets completed.

Regarding concern about education of children, it is to be noted that 99% of the officers never shift their usual place of residence and prefer to do their job on weekly up & down basis. Also, it is beyond imagination as to why this concern is not raised at the time of posting to SEZ;s like MUNDRA, Kandla, Reliance etc. Ailing mother, small kids, household problems, double establishment never become a reason to deny these much demanded transfer & postings.

It is, therefore, requested not to indulge in unhealthy and baseless discussion otherwise many more things will come out.

  9. Dear Mridanshu,
You have done an excellent job by showing the mirror to all those moral preachers, having no moral & ethical valuea. All the concerns regarding family are raised only on transfer & posting to remotr place like Bhavnagar Commissionerate & the same go behind veil when the moral preachers get plum posting. This kind of nonsense talk does not go in good taste & therefore, it should be stoppes immediately.

    Thanks,
    Amit Kr.
